RACING DAY FOR K-4:
On Tuesday, March 27, the students in grades K-4 enjoyed a “Racing Day.” We were divided into groups and then given cardboard boxes. We painted them to look like race cars. Later Chad Evans came with his son’s go-cart. He talked about the safety of the go-cart and the gear he wears. He also showed us pictures of him and his son, Tate, racing. We all sat in the go-cart. He gave each of us a sticker that he puts on his go-cart.
In the afternoon we raced our “go-carts” according to grades. We had a normal race and a flat tire race. In the flat tire race we had to drag one foot. If we didn’t, we got the “black flag” and were disqualified. Then we watched the movie Cars and ate popcorn and drank pop. (Allison, Megan, Stacy)
