WELCOME TO MUSIC, BAND & CHOIR!!!!!!

  BAND

 We will have four students in Band, grades 7 & 8.  Each student takes one 15 minute lesson each week, working out of the Essential Elements 2000 method.  During Band we play through a variety of songs in different styles, some with three parts and others with four parts.  This encourages each student to play their best and to play with confidence so all the parts are heard.  Some of the songs we play along with a CD accompaniment which is really fun.

Those 5th graders who have decided to be in Band next year should be thinking about what instrument they want to play and making arrangements to purchase or rent an instrument.  If you have an instrument already, please be sure to have it checked so it's in excellent condition, making it possible to have better success as you begin learning to play it this Fall.   If you have any questions call me or e-mail me.

Current Band students, please be sure to have your instrument checked so it's in excellent working condition for the Fall.  And don't forget to practice this summer!
