"Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants."
I have to start this week's newsletter telling you about our field trip! The students did a great job exploring the Old Courthouse Museum and completing the scavenger hunt. We then had lunch at Culvers. While we were eating the manager came to the table where the adults were eating and said, "Your kids have impeccable manners!" How awesome is that! Then it was on the circus! Needless to say this was the highlight of the day! We took turns going out to purchase our souvenirs and treats. While making their purchases, the students again exemplified great manners telling the workers, "Thank you!" I saw numerous smiles brought to the faces of the workers who were dealing with crazed excitement from so many kids. I was so incredibly proud of the students and you should be as well!
Monday evening will be our all-school musical beginning at 7 p.m. at the Christian Reformed Church. The students should come arrive at school between 6:30 and 6:45 to get into their costumes. After the program you are invited back to school for desserts and to view our display of State Projects and the Art Display! Students will take their projects home that night.
Next Friday, April 27th is Grandparents' Day. Please invite your grandparents to join us at 9:45 for coffee, a short program at 10:00, time in the classroom, and then lunch with the students.
Our Memory Verse for the next week is Isaiah 43:10.

Please check this website weekly for updates! I will post information about our schedules, tests, items needed, etc, on here through out the year. I encourage you to practice Spelling Words, Skip-Counting, and Memory Verses through out the week and not wait until Thursday nights. If possible, I try to avoid unit tests on Thursday because of GEMS and Cadets on Wednesday evenings. This is not always possible, however.
We have PE on Monday and Wednesday so tennis shoes are required. Music is also on Monday and Wednesday, and Computer Class is on Tuesday and Thursdays.
Don't ever hesitate to call or email me if you have any questions or concerns!
