We had another great year learning how to use the musical gifts God gave us and how we can praise and glorify His name by using these gifts.

Our Spring Program went well as we presented the musical, "Treasure Island-Searching for Riches in the Kingdom of God."
Western Band Festival took place on March 28 and the Band students enjoyed playing with 250 other students at the performance.  Luke and Hayden performed solos at the Interscholastic Solo & Ensemble Event the following day, doing an excellent job.  The 5th - 8th Choir will perform for graduation on May 23, singing "How He Loves", chosen by the 8th graders.

As we complete the 2018-2019 school year, I say my final goodbyes to Inwood Christian and to my teaching career as I retire.  Thank you to all the students who made this job so rewarding, to the teachers and staff who backed me up and accommodated rehearsal schedules, to the parents who supported and encouraged their children's participation in music, and to EVERYONE for the support through prayer and involvement in the music program and ICS.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Paulette DeWeerd who will be the new Music Teacher and am so very excited for the gifts she will bring to ICS and the Music Program!  Her enthusiasm is bubbling out of her and she is bringing new and fresh ideas to the program.  I confidently say that you will all love her and appreciate her talents!  It will be amazing!

God bless you all and thank you again for allowing me to be a part of Inwood Christian School and it's mission!

In Christ,
Barb Johnson
